Writer of comics, video games, lyrics, and this social media bio.

War Machine no. 1 in the 90s. I flipped through it at the comic & card shop where my brother bought Magic, and I remember the double page spread of Rhodey annihilating just about every Marvel villain. It felt dangerous and subversive. I had never seen anything like it before.

If you’re a comics fan, what’s the earliest comic book you can remember reading? And what kind of impression did it make on you?

You should read my comics because you’re angry at the world around you. I am too, and I write so we can commiserate for a while, find each other, and let our anger motivate us to demand better for our lives. As Crass taught us, they DO owe us a living.

San Diego Comic Con was incredibly energizing and electric this year. I’ve come away feeling great about reading and discussing comics, but even better about making them. Every day, I’m going to tell you why I think you’d like my stuff, starting in a second, but first, I’ve gotta acknowledge people.

I'm super stoked to once again speak on a panel about comics as educational tools during San Diego Comic Con this week. I'll be at the SD Central Library at 2:00 PM if you're in the area. And I'll be at the con all weekend if anyone wants to say hi (or fight me for my political opinions). #SDCC

Tom King is a good writer. A great one, in fact. It has become social media hackneyed behavior to provide empty criticisms of him and just out-and-out lies about him for clicks, and it’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen in comic fandom.
