I hate how so much old game design stuff gets wrapped up in the "HARDCORE!!!" movement because first off the difficulty worshippers suck and are weird posers, and also like that doesn't matter, old stuff is just cool and beautiful. Sylvie RPG is a cozy ass bump combat game, trying to inspire joy!
"Everywhere else is using it!" is so funny like yes, everywhere else is using AI and if its at all user facing it's pretty hated there too. It's just easier for shit like social media sites to get away with because we all already hate them, compared to games where we try like some developers!
