It will be a perfect bag for our bug friends, and totally safe for them😉 I am expecting the whole batch to be done and available in September! 💚

🧵⬆️ and agreeing - this is the way I was taught to break up fights/restrain the agressor. There's a guy in the neighborhood who walks his dog muzzled. He gets big respect from me - knows who his dog is and manages things to keep everyone safe. I do my part - give space, etc.

If they don’t let go of the other dog/animal in surprise when you grab the hips, you can also lift the hips off the ground like this and walk them back. The dog is too busy going “what the fuck?!?!” to keep attacking

I saw a clip of Dr. Wilson reading from her translation and immed bought audiobooks of her Iliad and Odyssey. A year ago. I mean, the poems are meant to be said aloud, no?
Red Durkin@daedsider.bsky.social · 2w agoThe success of Emily Wilson's translation had nothing to do with Christopher Nolan. The hardcover edition came out 9 years ago and was a huge success. The paperback has been in steady demand since 2018. My store has sold 75 copies (a lot for 1 book for us) and 66 of those were before January.
There is a lot to say about the Nolan Odyssey movie. But one point that I think has not been emphasized enough is: this is a film about living in LA, as Nolan, my erstwhile British compatriot and age mate, has done for years. I gather it’s a strange place.
Looks like another inspection by bicycle opportunity!
