Who else could watch this for hours? Defragmenting Drive C in Windows 95

Tempted to do (another) full X-Files rewatch (I was a huuuuge fan), but we've already done that once, and omg there is so much new stuff to watch.

Havin' a week.

Clicked to read 6 articles while scrolling through my feed this morning. 5 of the 6 were blocked by paywalls. Why share a paywalled article? It's so f'n annoying.

Every once in a while I'll be on Glazy.org and I'll see a glaze with lovely photos, but then I'll scroll down to check the chemistry and find something like this. This...is bad. This is a terrible, terrible glaze for functional ware. These numbers should be as close to 0.3:0.7 as possible. Ugh.

I think I've figured out some more glaze things, so more tests planned. Also I'm going to make large batches of a few glazes to test on actual mugs and bowls and whatnot. Hoping to do a glaze firing later this week (if I have time to work on stuff). We'll see.

Discovered that I had 2 Martha Wells Murderbot-universe short stories from a Humble Bundle I picked up a while ago, so blasted through those last night. I am entirely obsessed with Murderbot and [spoilers redacted]. I may buy the hardcopy versions of the series as I expect I will reread them often.

I have so many books and so many games but people keep writing new books and making new games.

So I woke up this morning to find out that Ozzy Osbourne’s son made a video falsely accusing me of using AI to write a Rolling Stone article about the Tate brothers.

Picked up some comics today, and also some game nerd stuff (Terraforming Mars: The Dice Game is very, very good -- we prefer it to the original on a bunch of levels).

My recent reads. I tend to read in chunks.

Finished Murderbot 8 last night. Loved the series so, so much. Bereft, however, because that's it until she writes another one. Now I'm faced with figuring out what's next, which is just choice paralysis+++ (we have so many books, and my TBR is both wide and deep).

I've wanted to reply to so many things lately with, "You know it's fiction, right?"

Thing about working with famous epics is that they're famous epics for a reason. Tons of people have had opinions about them for millennia. If you're going to work with one, you know your version is going to piss some people off. Even a *sedate* famous epic inflames some of its audience.

I am really, really enjoying the Murderbot Diaries.

Continuing to rip through Murderbot. On book 7 now, and I will get book 8 the second I'm done. What a delight.

Finished the test tiles before bed. These will dry over the next day or two and then I'll do a bisque firing.

Ok, actually did the thing i said i was going to do. Threw a bunch of bottomless cylinders to practice that skill and, as a bonus, make a buttload of test tiles for future glaze experiments. 14 pictured, and did 6 more after this. That's a full bag of clay and should make ~200 tiles. I am muddy.

Tomorrow's plan: queue up an audiobook and throw clay for 4-5 hours. That's a good Sunday.

Wedged some clay up today in prep for some studio time tomorrow. Just making test tiles for some more glaze experimentation (I have some good glazes now, but i have some others that are *so close* and I want to get those sorted for the next glaze firing). I will also make some larger batches of 1/2

Picked up a wild array of books today. The Mulai by Munir Hachemi, the third in Colson Whitehead's Harlem trilogy, and (finally) the first Dungeon Crawler Carl (newly out in paperback). Currently finishing Murderbot book 7. My TBR is always basically infinite.

I think the zany victorian house that's a library, used bookshop, cafe, winebar, pottery studio, and art gallery has become a new life goal. Now to win a lottery...

Played a full game of Vantage tonight. It's easy to set up, and is a fun casual game, w some really fun exploration, light strategy, and challenging cooperative elements. If I ever won the lottery I'd buy an zany old Victorian house, fix it up all nice nice, pop a cafe/wine bar in there, and then turn it into a library so I'd have somewhere to put the eighty kajillion books I'd end up buying.

Absolutely tearing thru Martha Wells' Murderbot Diaries. They are such a good time. Highly, highly recommended.

This pup has not forgotten about egg prices. Eggs are very important to him. Doesn't matter why, but it took weeks to save for this one. Thought this was a top priority. Starting to wonder if maybe that wasn't true. 12/10 (credit: u/iztek)
