Visited the Southwick Reef this afternoon; man made enhancements put on both the sea wall and in the water to act as refugia for wildlife. Cracking little project. More of these, please!
It’s Fathers Day here today, and as usual I’ve been spoilt rotten, including starting the day with this beauty.

Thought we’d sit in the garden and enjoy the sun. Bad smell coming from somewhere, looked around and found it (grim), poor foxy. Bagged it up, took it to the tip, they wouldn’t have it “You’ll have to call a vet or something” (“Erm, think it’s passed that!”…nothing). Grateful for communal bins.
I read this to Thing 1 a few years ago, I’m now reading it to Thing 2; it’s brilliant. Genuinely brilliant. I think it’s in the top 3 books I’ve read to my kids.

Missed out on a record on eBay by pennies. Always galling. (and yes, I know that you don’t know what the winning bidder was prepared to pay, it’s just it’s always annoying when it’s *just* above what your maximum was)
