We cannot have a County Judge who waits for permission to lead. I've been asking hard questions on this issue for years, and I will keep asking them as your next County Judge.
Dr. Letitia Plummer

Mother, Dentist, former at-large Councilwoman, & proud Houstonian. Your Democratic Nominee for Harris County Judge.
I oppose Harris County's proposed property tax increase. Residents are being asked to pay more while services for domestic violence survivors are cut, and fees on people facing eviction go up. That's not fiscal responsibility, and Harris County families deserve better.
Orlando Sanchez likes to call himself a fiscal watchdog, but his record says differently. He took an 8.4% pay raise for himself the same year law enforcement, first responders, and city workers got 3%. When I’m elected, I’ll make sure our county budget reflects the communities it serves.
I was happy to join LULAC Council 60 last night to share my vision for Harris County's future. From emergency preparedness to health care and ensuring every community in this county has the resources they deserve, I will ensure every family in Harris County has a government that shows up for them.
I'm honored to have the endorsement of County Judge Lina Hidalgo, District Attorney Sean Teare, and Commissioners Rodney Ellis, Adrian Garcia, and Lesley Briones. The people who know this county best are standing with us, and that means the world.
We're headed to Aldine! Join me, Rep. Armando Walle, and Rep. Christina Morales for a Community Town Hall on September 1st. Come hear directly from your candidates as they share their vision and policy plans for building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous county. See you there: bit.ly/3SS2wgg
Last night at our town hall, someone asked me how I plan to show up for young people across Harris County. My answer was simple. I'll earn it. Once I am elected, I will be present, accessible, and continue showing up wherever and whenever our communities need me.
Thank you to everyone who came out to hear from me, Desiree Klaus, Albert Wittliff, and Shannon Dicely last night in Clear Lake. And a special thank you to Rep. Christina Morales for popping by—we can't wait to have you at our town hall in Aldine next week.
This weekend, I was able to connect with Ronaldo Salgado, the son of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. I will always defend the constitutional rights of every resident and advocate for transparency in the use of local resources for the enforcement of federal immigration laws.
This morning I had the opportunity to share my vision for Harris County at the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce Candidate Forum. I am confident that the plan I brought to that stage today is the right one for the families, businesses, and communities that make this county home.

Another Cafecito y Charla in the books! Yesterday we gathered at Las Perras Cafe in East Harris County for real conversation about affordability, ICE enforcement, public safety, and health care. Thank you to Councilman Castillo for joining us and bringing energy to the room ahead of Election Day!
Earlier today, I stopped by the office opening for Gina Hinojosa's campaign in Houston, Texas. With Gina as governor, I can make sure our communities are prepared before the storms hit Thank you to the talented staff for putting together such a wonderful opening!
This morning I joined Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in the Third Ward to feed our community. I am committed to making sure our county's resources reach the people who need them most. Thank you to Dr. Cofield for his leadership and for the example Good Hope sets for the entire community.
I agree, @jamestalarico! ☺️ If we want to flip Texas, it starts by supporting down-ballot candidates.
Families can’t afford to live in Harris County. As your next Harris County Judge, I will stop property tax increases by focusing on appraisal revenue, expand financial support and literacy programs, secure microlender partnerships, and cut the permit backlogs that make business ownership harder.
Grateful to every member of our host committee and all those who supported our campaign last night at House of Finesse! The energy in that room was a reminder that Harris County is ready for what's coming in November.
As school starts back up, I’m thinking about how important it is to support our students and school districts now more than ever. As your next Harris County Judge, I will fight to make sure every child in this county has access to a quality education and the resources they need to build a future.
Grateful to The Root for sitting down with me to talk about our race in Harris County, the road to November, and why this moment matters for Texas. Check out the full profile here: theroot.com/can-texas-re...
As your next Harris County Judge, I will establish a Preventive Healthcare Technology Partnership Initiative with Harris Health, the Harris County Health Department Foundation, the Texas Medical Center, local hospitals, city health departments, and health insurance companies.
Harris County, we're coming to Clear Lake! Join me, Desiree Klaus, Albert Wittliff, and Shannon Dicely for our next Community Town Hall stop on Monday, August 24th. Hear from your candidates, ask your questions, and join the conversation about what's at stake this November.
It was wonderful spending Saturday morning alongside Leticia Gutierrez for Cafecito y Charla. Thank you to Mr. Porras for opening Porras Prontito to our campaign! The powerful conversations around ICE and more made it clear what neighbors here are thinking about. I'll keep our families safe.
Last night, we kicked off our 11-stop town hall tour across Harris County in Katy. Grateful to be joined by Sara McGee, Odus Evbagharu, and Vikki Goodwin for a real conversation about what's at stake in these districts, Harris County, and the state of Texas this November.
I'm excited to have my good friend Rep. Vikki Goodwin join our town hall with Odus and Sara in Katy tonight! Stop by, ask questions, and hear our plan to fight for families and win in November. 📅 Monday, August 17 | 6:30 – 8:30 PM 📍 19560 Clay Rd, Katy, TX 77449 RSVP here: bit.ly/4gdFzvP
When ShotSpotter came to the Houston City Council in 2022, I was the only member to vote against it. I asked for the data instead of accepting the sales pitch. That same question deserves an answer now.
I was proud to partner with Now Included to create a moving and urgent documentary about Houston’s Fifth Ward Cancer Cluster. While serving on city council, I helped bring together experts & stakeholders to address community health concerns & bring free cancer screenings to the Fifth Ward.
This morning I attended the Clear the Air Back to School Bash hosted by Acclinate, Now Included, and AstraZeneca in Southwest Houston. We screened Houston's Fifth Ward Exposed, a documentary I partnered on. Watch here: youtu.be/BQ3eyvcGeV4
There's too much on the line in this election to stay at home this November. Join us as we fight for a strong, safe, and affordable Harris County: drletitiaplummer.com/.
Had a great evening earlier this week at the CyTom Democrats' monthly meeting. The momentum in that room was amazing, with hands-on training in carpool canvassing, phone banking, postcarding, voter registration, and poll worker applications. This is what building a movement looks like.
I will not sign a surveillance contract without these non-negotiables: ✏️ Published use policy that says exactly what justifies a search 🔍 Independent annual audit released to the public 📌 Hard prohibition sharing Harris County data outside of named criminal investigations ❌ Strict retention limit
