Danielle Smith is wasting your money and adding to health workforce burnout by allowing anyone to order diagnostic tests. Alberta's new system is NOT like anything else in the world. Follow up on unimportant test findings will fall to taxpayers and there will be fewer providers in the public system.

Today, the Government of Alberta and Government of Canada announced it has finally funded much needed renovations at the University of Calgary’s Olympic Oval. This includes $52 million split equally between the provincial and federal governments to renovate...

The biggest Alberta health story came quietly. While Canada's premiers met and discussed public health care, Danielle Smith's govt quietly reclassified preventive health testing as "non-insured" without consultation. Albertans deserve better than more privatization and more out of pocket costs.

What a special way to celebrate Stampede! I was thrilled to attend the Triwood Community Association Stampede Breakfast and especially honoured to be part of the citizenship ceremony afterward. Congratulations and welcome to Canada's newest citizens! 🇨🇦🤠

One of my favourite Stampede traditions! I always look forward to the Wood's Homes Stampede Breakfast. It was wonderful to serve up some hot dogs, catch up with neighbours, and enjoy another great morning with the community.

This is the norm in EDMONTON EDs now. Our ability to provide emergency oncology care is atrocious. LaGrange and Smith know. Unfortunately, they only want to talk about more low acuity private pay surgery… cuz the Premier had a staff member get private care in Japan.

Yet another near miss at an Edmonton ER: a patient of mine on chemo was taken by ambulance for fever. He did not receive care for >8 hrs (8 x longer than intern’l guidelines for triage to treatment of febrile neutropenia (a medical emergency with up to 1/5 risk of death) 1/3 @pfparks.bsky.social

Alberta families are feeling the squeeze. That’s why Alberta's NDP has a new Alberta Affordability Agenda to help you keep money in your pockets: ✅ A higher minimum wage ✅ More affordable groceries ✅ Help for first-time homebuyers ✅ Lower electricity costs ✅ Eliminating the provincial gas tax.

It was wonderful meeting with Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation. Thank you for your warm welcome and for generously sharing your insights on the distinct challenges faced by northern Indigenous communities.

“We’re seeing the real impact already,” said @marierenaud.bsky.social “People are reaching out because they’re terrified and angry. They don’t know how they’re going to make ends meet. People with disabilities deserve stability, dignity, and respect – not uncertainty and fear.”
