This week we voted to keep ICE agents out of patient areas unless they have a judicial warrant. During all the years I worked with law enforcement at HCMC, we never needed this law. But we do now and I was proud to vote yes.

I'm proud to have the endorsement of the American College of OB-GYN physicians PAC as well as the DFL Feminist caucus—and proud to support abortion care in our state. I spoke about it with Steve Francisco—you can find the full interview using the linktree in my bio.

Huge shoutout to my team for crushing it at the SD 52 Convention! You all worked tirelessly to make sure it was a success, and I’m beyond grateful for your support and hustle. Thank you to everyone in Eagan who came out to engage, ask questions, and show your support. Let’s keep moving forward!

It is an honor to receive the endorsement of the DFL Feminist Caucus. I am committed to the work of addressing political, economic and health care disparities for women and women of color in our state, and ensuring full access to reproductive care.

People can’t afford to go to the hospital, to get their prescriptions filled, or even to buy basic health insurance—because we’re paying for a war with no clear objectives. These are the choices that Republicans are making, prioritizing conflict over our community's health.

Congratulations to Senator Zaynab Mohamed on her nomination for the Gabrielle Giffords Rising Star Award. Sen. Mohamed has shown amazing courage and leadership this winter when her community was under attack. I am proud to have her friendship— and her endorsement.

Our healthcare system is broken. I’ve witnessed this firsthand as a doctor attending to patients—and as a State Senator working to improve healthcare in Minnesota. Systemic change in how Americans receive care can only be achieved by leaders who truly understand the problem.

SF 3769 is heading to the Senate floor. This legislation gives us the ability to hold drugmakers accountable and reduce harm by protecting access to affordable medications and preserving care in communities across the state.

This judicial order—striking down RFK Jr’s bogus vaccine recommendations—is good news for science, public health and the truth. But in case it doesn’t last, I continue my work to establish our own Minnesota Vaccine Advisory Board, which will be heard in the Health and Human Services committee today.

For most of my career as a doctor I practiced at Hennepin County Medical Center, and the hospital remains close to my heart. The staff embody the best of Minnesota values—compassionate, hard-working and humble.

I’ve learned from Senator Pappas since I first arrived in the legislature. Her visionary and collaborative work on statewide bonding projects is inspiring to me. Honored to have her endorsement.

My campaign is supported by democrats from across the political spectrum of our party—not because we always agree, but because we trust each other, and know we can work together for the common good.

I’m so grateful for all the delegates who participated in Democracy yesterday—from LeSueur to Cottage Grove. The Minnesota spirit is strong. And I’m deeply grateful to the volunteers from my campaign who put in a full day supporting the good work. You all are the very best.

When ICE failed to render aid to Renee Good, she still had a pulse 6 1/2 minutes later. Yesterday, on the first day of legislative session, I co-authored a bill with the majority leader and other health care legislators that would give Minnesotans civil recourse in that circumstance.
