GenAI is extremely prone to hallucinate. If people use LLMs to ask questions they don’t know the answer to, how would they be able to spot a mistake? And now think what can happen if we implement these systems in areas where truth and detail matter e.g. investment decisions, stock market or medicine

Reviews that don’t appropriately evaluate based on the method have been killing me lately. If I had a dollar for every review of a qual paper that criticized a lack of generalizability…

Their feedback was that the lack of empirical data made it a poor proposal - when that’s not a design case feature or requirement.

Listen, I know people are super busy. But I really encourage y'all to consider volunteering to review for the conferences you attend. My sense is that the quality of reviews has decreased over the years, largely due to experienced reviewers opting out of the review process. We need all y'all.

i’ve never understood why we are expected to file our own taxes each year instead of just receiving a bill (like we do with property tax) or a refund.

IRS wrote to state tax agencies saying it would not be operational this coming tax season, per records I've obtained. IRS Direct File: 2023-2025. (Story from when the pilot launched.)
