It's pretty insane to imply that the new Resident Evil movie has contempt for the medium of video games because it's been a long time since I've seen a movie that was such a clear love letter to video games and specifically Resident Evil.

Any other year, Onimusha: Way of the Sword would have been my Game of the Year. Unfortunately, Control: Resonant comes out in less than a month. Great attempt though.

People posting "clearly you've never seen Tifa fight" and then posting a video that would only be a combo in a Marvel Vs Capcom game which they refuse to play because it's confusing and "broken".

A big problem with video game discussion online is that people take disappointment to be a personal slight and unfairly malign otherwise decent games for not living up to the expectations set by their predecessors or that they set in their head. And then they never let that go.

I said from day 1 that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is an exercise on focusing your development time on the aspects that actually matter and this is totally in line with that. But people will use this as an excuse to say its bad or something.

Credits on Nioh 1. This game definitely takes some shaky steps but it nails the rest with confidence. It doesn't get enough credit for how early it showed up to the "Soulslike" party and not only nailed it but made something entirely unlike any of the trend chasers.

Having a great time with Nioh 1. I've put it off for ages and I was even in one of the first beta's for it but just never made the time. Plus you play as an Irish guy and the game starts with you murdering the English and fleeing to Japan so finally I feel represented.

Can't think of a better way to celebrate stories that explore the nature of humanity like Yoko Taro's work and Neon Genesis Evangelion than some absolute AI bullshit. So sad to see a talented artist resort to this crap.

Not being allowed to laugh at ridiculous marketing statements without being called "miserable" by social media users has led to the absolute insane statement of the game's target audience being "content lovers" lmao

People just dunking on this without reading his points are part of the issue. Highguard may have never succeeded regardless but so much online/social media content now is lame and leans negative for no other reason than it gets more engagement than an evenhanded perspective.

A laid off Highguard developer has criticised online "dogpiling", "ragebait content" and personal attacks, saying negative discourse "absolutely played a role" in the game's poor launch and subsequent layoffs. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/laid-of...

I remember going over every screenshot of the Devil May Cry van in the DMC5info days but somehow I still missed a detail. Nico has a "Proud to be Single" bumper sticker but with "Single" ripped off. Did she find a partner? Did Nero put it there as a prank? It is a mystery.

Wrapped up the podcast and it turned out to be like 4 hours and still don’t think we covered everything. There was a lot to say about Netflix Devil May Cry but it was also more fun just shooting the shit with one of my best friends.

The Devil May Cry Netflix show is going out of its way to impress you constantly. It wants you to think that it’s funny, it wants you to think that it has important things to say and it wants you to think that it’s cool.

New to Devil May Cry from the anime? Here's a guide on how to approach the games! Any questions please ask! DMC1 - Dont play its old DMC2 - Don't play its bad DMC3 - Don't play its hard DMC4 - Dont play its unfinished DmC - Dont play its cringe DMC5 - Dont play it needs a remake

Halfway through the Devil May Cry Netflix show and this isn’t good. Lady in the OG is an interesting character whose dedication allows her to hang with supernatural forces but now she is just a cop with tech.
