I think I've decided on the first two tracks of this version of the mix. Which necessitated putting together a new mix of one of the songs. We'll see if it works once the entire track list is done.
Nick@drstrangebork.bsky.social · 4d agoNow, I'm challenging myself to make another one, this time a single-disc length, no more than 74 minutes (the old capacity for CDs), and to try to include pre-DEATH MAGIC tracks, as well. This one's gonna be more difficult, I think.
The highest praise I can give #Nighthawks right now (as I’ve yet to finish) is that it has me in the mood to play more incredible vampire games. Which means it has me in the mood to play the masterpiece that is Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines.
Finished Star Wars Outlaws tonight (yes, I know, I'm a bit behind). Much like other Ubisoft "open world" games, it was far more enjoyable once I started treating it like a linear game with no side quests.
I do love playing a game so well-optimized for PC that its title screen has frame rate drops.
Made a @health.band starter pack mix. 2 CDs, 24 tracks + a 'pre-gap hidden track', 90 minutes of bangers. It was hard to make but I think both the track selection and sequence turned out pretty well.
Nighthawks has sold TEN THOUSAND copies in less than one week! For a tiny studio like ours, this is a huge milestone. To all the supporters, backers, wishlisters, and everyone who believed in this game and us, thank you so much.
Well, it's official: I am putting together a list of roley-playey and pointy-clicky games to play as that is all I am going to play in 2027.
3 years ago today we shipped Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. For me, it was our final word on what we wanted Cyberpunk 2077 to be. Making it felt like group therapy. We had to rebuild confidence, rethink how we worked, and learn to trust ourselves again as creators.

The more I think about it the more I realize that yes, playing nothing but RPGs and point-and-click adventure games in 2027 is a brilliant idea.

Just finished Pillars of Eternity, which means I only have two games going at the moment. This will not stand! 😂
Playing games and ignoring that I feel burnt out and sad. As one does.

Obviously having your game erroneously banned for daring to suggest that adults sometimes have sex is an absolute nightmare. Particularly the week before launch! But...I have to admit that playing a vampire in a game deemed "too sexy for Steam" might be the coolest I've ever been.
Upcoming vampire RPG Nighthawks has been removed from Steam search and delisted in certain countries as Valve classifies it Adults Only: 'It's very bad news for us'
The label "immediately makes the game persona non grata in several important countries like Germany".

Haven't played many games this year, but here's what I've got under my belt. Planescape: Torment, Pillars of Eternity, Thimbleweed Park, and Star Wars Outlaws are ongoing; Runt is currently on hold. Baldur's Gate 3 is two attempts at Honour Mode totaling 60-65 hours of playtime.
