This week we hosted rich and insightful discussions at the 2-day DSIS workshop 'Multi Societal System Transformation to Address the Polycrisis' at University College Cork with very esteemed guests & intense work on the DSIS “Declaration on Deep Societal Transformation in a Time of Polycrisis”.

Congratulations to DSIS co-PI Professor Maggie O'Neill on a being a joint winner of the UCC Research Career Achievement Award 2026. Maggie was recognised for her research and her commitment to advancing feminist, impactful, participatory, and socially engaged forms of knowledge production. Bravo!

Bob Grumiau and visiting Prof Kelly Salchow MacArthur (Michigan State University) led a collaging workshop on "Inhabiting Landscapes Meaningfully and Sensually". Participants joined a "sensual" walk around campus to capture impressions and forage supplies, before taking to scissors and gluesticks.
