It's official: 2024 was the hottest year on record, and the first with an average temp 1.5C above pre-industrial levels, the limit set by the Paris Agreement. The 1.5C goal isn't dead -- it won't be until/unless this happens over many years. But it's sure not looking good. via @eroston.bsky.social
