#DFBRecruits Tuesday 28th of July Our recruits were introduced to Tall and Complex firefighting, which is an add on to the skills they learnt during their BA course.

Members of Dublin Fire Brigade now have the honour of both the safe storage and management of the mobilisation of the Lord Mayor of Dublin's magnificent coach.

Firefighter/Paramedics and Swiftwater Rescue Technicians from Tallaght and Dolphins Barn along with Gardaí responded to the 9th Lock earlier this morning for reports of a person shouting for help. An extensive search of the canal was carried out with no person in difficulty found.

Firefighter/Paramedics from North Strand, Dolphins Barn and Phibsborough responded to an electric blanket on fire in a hotel recently. A full evacuation was in place on arrival of crews.

Many thanks to the park ranger who assisted our Kilbarrack crew when they were responding to a fire in Malahide Castle. The fire engine was unable to get close enough to the fire so they were able to extinguish it using gorse bagpacks.

Firefighters from Rathfarnham Station responded to this abandoned camp fire at the Hellfire Club earlier today. A Condition Orange warning is in place until Tuesday, please refrain from lighting fires in wooded areas. Irresponsible behaviour like this, can lead to catastrophic wildfires.

Dublin Fire Brigade received reports of gorse on fire in the Glencullen area of Dublin on Friday 31st of July 2026. The first call related to this incident was received at 1410 hours and multiple calls followed. Firefighter/Paramedics have been working hard to bring the fire under control.

Our Finglas Crew responded to a fire in a playground in Balcurris Park last night. A gorse beater was used to extinguish the fire.

Firefighter/Paramedics from Dolphins Barn responded to this car fire in Pearse Park in the early hours of yesterday morning. A high pressure hose reel was used to extinguish the fire.

The Fonthill Road was closed earlier today as Firefighter/Paramedics and Advanced Paramedics responded to a road traffic collision. The road has since reopened but traffic may still be heavy in the area.

Firefighter/Paramedics from Tallaght Fire Station are attending an area of grass on fire close to Newlands Cross Cemetery. Smoke may be visible in the area.

We recently responded to a domestic fire where an electrical appliance caught fire when it was left on a hob. Always keep cooking surfaces clear, even when not in use as they can be turned in easily.

#Glencullen Co. Dublin Firefighting operations are continuing at the gorse #wildfire on the Dublin mountains at Glencullen. High winds are driving smoke across a wide area and limiting visibility on roads. The smoke has travelled as far as the #M50. We are asking residents to close all windows

On Friday evening, our Kilbarrack crew responded to three vehicles on fire in #Santry. The fire was extinguished shortly after arrival and further spread was prevented.

Earlier this morning, Firefighter/Paramedics and Advanced Paramedics responded to a domestic fire in Donnybrook. One person was rescued by a breathing apparatus crew.
