#OnThisDay 1835 Australia city of Melbourne, Victoria, was founded. Earliest surviving photographs of Melbourne were taken in 1854 by notable Edinburgh based photographer Alexander McGlashon. He also took oldest known photographs of Dunblane Cathedral in 1850s
