Ok I can’t believe I’m saying this, but after some 30 fucking years of Linux desktop, it’s finally good, and it’s largely because of Wayland. Keyboard events finally work the way they are supposed to now.

Vote democrats, woke or not. MAGA is the number one enemy. When the field is settled, kick out the old, the infirmed, and the wavering in the party, especially those woke 1 then suddenly not woke 1 and then woke 2. These are just people are just opportunists.

The older I get the more I suspect whether climate change is really just a public relations and infrastructure investment problem. As soon as people realize what they have to give up, they are absolutely not going to reduce carbon emission anywhere close to required to keep temp from raising > 1.5c.

When it comes to crime, deep down, every leftie thinks looting, stealing and drugs are okay, because they’ve all seen Les Mis, substituted themselves with Jean Valjean, and rationalize these acts as “victimless”.

Andy Burnham is so far making all the right noises, there’s a genuine vibe shift now that we expected 2 years ago but didn’t get. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but he might be the first Labour polician I actually like in the last 30 years or so.

Another anecdote Europeans don’t seem to hear enough: Crime in major European cities has been the butt of jokes for at least 40 years, especially in Asia. Every uncle and auntie came back with horror stories in the 80s/90s. It used to be Rome and Paris, but London has clearly taken the crown now.
