I have a little secret. For at least a couple of years, I spent every Friday and Saturday night at the Rocky Horror Picture Show - as Frankenfurter. Losing Dolly really hurts. Losing Tim Curry is just piling on the cruelty.

Like the world needed to be just a little darker. Dolly shone so brightly - a great artist (just look at her songwriting credits), a great performer. But still more, a great human being. She put her beliefs into action. She made the world around her a better place. I will miss her presence.

Huh. I have 2 coworkers, both suffering literal broken bones, who can't work for a number of weeks. Our boss refuses to respond to their texts or to file paperwork requested by the state so they can get short-term disability. He's privately discussed firing them with a manager. Must be nice.

Mitch McConnell hasn’t been seen or heard from in 6 weeks(!) in the hospital. Yet he still has a job, still getting paid, and getting unlimited world class healthcare. The man who voted against a living wage, against universal healthcare, and against guaranteed paid leave—is now getting all three.

I only just learned of Miss Denise's passing. I'm devastated. I'm so sad - we're losing the "boomers" that lived - and put their lives on the line time and again - to secure the rights today's youngsters have failed utterly to defend. I'm glad I was able to do this for her before she passed.

What an unusually pleasant Sunday morning! First, I slept until noon, then learned Lindsey Graham died. I haven't slept like this in years!

We had our first open house today. It sucks to be told on short notice to vacate, but seven couples came. Our neighbor across the street with 2 young girls came by to hope that the buyer has young kids. Two families want to see the place again - both have kids. I think our neighbor will be psyched.

Today I encountered the largest man I've ever seen in real life. HUGE. I cannot describe how massive this man's upper body was - like a living cartoon. Just yesterday, my coworker and I had been talking about how wrong appearances can be. He was the most gentle, polite, soft-spoken giant ever.

So...our odyssey getting our house ready to sell. Back in January, Bestie had knee replacement, so she moved in with us so we could take care of her during her recovery. Then, my friend and coworker, who volunteered to help with every dirty, grubby, back-breaking job to help us /1

I haven't loggedon for a while, so I don't know if this has caught attention, but Nichelle Nichols' family has won a lawsuit for negligence in her death. I'm so sad and angry. She was such an icon - one that shaped this little girl, who adored and looked up to her. She deserved so much better.

Now that she's 14 and has mellowed a bit, my cat and I have arrived at a kind of unhappy medium - wherein she does not wish to be smooshed, and I don't get to smoosh her for nearly long enough. But there were are.

Day . . . I've lost count. Many long days - weeks - of hard labor making my home a saleable house. Fibro flares on the regular as I push beyond my spoons. All the usual medications to stay on top of it. But, come about 10pm, a good frozen mudslide is my new best friend.

Someone in comments on a YouTube vid about WWII scolded a commenter for suggesting America has abandoned it's values. She said they were brainwashed and that trump supporters would go down in history as the equivalent of the resistance in Nazi Germany. What do we even do w this level of delusion?

Bestie moved in after knee surgery so we could care for her. She can't help with the packing, lifting, loading. When my wife asked her to drive her to a nearby town to pick up a Uhaul, she said "what's my incentive?". Hey, I respect the hustle - especially since it's cheap... chocolate cake. Daily.

Packing up the last 15 years of my life under a deadline. "Overwhelming" doesn't begin to describe it. The bone-deep soreness & exhaustion of packing . . . and having to fix things you thought you could get to eventually, bc it was the last place you'd ever live in -- suddenly isn't. I'm so tired.
