On a personal note, I did two Game Hacking Village days on my feet at DEF CON extolling the virtues of what @tas.bot can do and I was able to endure the physical gut pain I'd struggled to face the last two years without most being the wiser. Chronic pain is hard, but easier in the right headspace.

I'm still facing the same physical health challenges and my next specialist appointment isn't until October but my ability to cope has improved. Nothing changed but my mental outlook as it were, and that's enough for me.

Seriously, he's super huggable, I kept catching myself hugging the prototype TASBot plushie when I took TASBot to the Computer History Museum for an event last week. :) I don't yet know how it'll work shipping any remaining stock after MAGFest but hopefully I can get one to anyone who wants one.

TASBot plushies have multiplied. @dwangoac.tas.bot thinks I am the most huggable robot. He is biased. He already has one to hug. 150 are headed to #MAGFest 2026. Will you be there? You should get one there to hug too.

It was a long process getting a prototype of TASBot we felt met our standards and we requested a couple improvements but I'm happy to see what folks think. Unfortunately, we'd need a minimum commitment of 150 and tariffs make it $45 plus shipping. Would you buy one? I think he's cute. :)

Researching SNES APU clock speeds has been interesting. It largely only matters for playing back a TAS on real hardware, but it was fascinating how temperature had less impact than different consoles and seeing the distribution was centered around faster values. Thank you to everyone who helped!

I've only ever written code in Python so I decided to learn Rust a while back. I really struggled with some of the semantic differences but I think I've developed a unique style that combines the best of both languages while still compiling without warnings.

Rust programming language source code demonstrating a simple "guess the number" game, but with all of the syntactic characters such as ;, {, and } moved far to the right side, resulting in a code appearance similar to Python which lacks syntax braces and characters.

I would like to make a plushie of TASBot. Lots of folks at MAGFest said they wanted one. Please let me know if you have any leads or ideas on how I can go about it. I'd definitely donate 10% to charity but I also need extra funding sources to not starve, heh.

Would you buy a plushie of me if 10% went to charity? Let me know. Use the heart response. I have been told it means "Like". @dwangoac.tas.bot does not know who can make me into a plushie or how to afford the upfront costs. Yet. He is gauging interest first.

With this (slightly faked) screenshot on Bluesky, I helped TASBot escape the bounds of Twitter/X for good. A little secret, I had to take the screenshot from the message draft view to display the full links, heh
