As I start the next episode of Star Trek on Paramount+, I get an ad for UFC. What exactly is the projected crossover there?

I am quite enjoying the World Cup but the flopping makes the NBA look like the UFC. There should be a rule that if you lie in the ground for more than five seconds, you have to sit out 10 minutes. I bet a lot of the "injuries" would miraculously dissappear.

I can't get this thought out of my head. "Hard R" as a concept. Great for an Evil Dead movie. Not so great for an edgy white rapper.

Hey Paramount+, I'm in the mood for a movie with a sexy lady in a bathtub. I guess I will watch the sexy bathtub thriller "The Big Short".

I don't know who thought, man this Spurs - Thunder game is super intense and we've only got a few minutes left... time for an extended Minions commercial! Perfect synergy.

Quite enjoying "Hannibal Lecter: A Life" by @brianraftery.bsky.social. Mind blown by that the song Goodbye Horses from the infamous "tucking" scene was discovered by Jonathan Demme hearing the sing in a taxi, asking the driver who it was and the taxi driver was playing the demo of their own song.

Saw Bruno Mars play for two hours last night. So much fun. Even the power outage delaying Uptiown Funk for ten minutes couldn't stop the energy of the crowd.

Props to the streaming app where I stopped a movie i was watching, changed to a different TV, resumed the movie and was presented an ad for... the movie I was watching!

I keep seeing the commercial where the older pizza shop owner asks a.i. to help them bring back the dollar slice. Step 1: cut up the pizza into slices. Step 2: charge customers one dollar per slice. That's it. You don't need a robot to figure that out.

Before the election: No more pointless forever wars! America First! After the election: Sorry there's no money to spend on America, we spent it all on pointless forever wars.

Hot take: I enjoyed both Sinners and One Battle After Another and movies like F1, Weapons, and others that were released last year and which one got a gold statue really doesn't change my opinion. Hopefully, the awards exposure makes someone seek out a nominated movie and they will enjoy it.

I just replied tothe cashier at Qdoba who said "enjoy your food" with "you too." So if anyone needs me, I will be crying in a locked, single stall Qdoba bathroom for about an hour.

Quite enjoyed Dead Man's Wire. There needs to be a special category of film when the movie ends and they show news footage from the actual event.

I saw the Bride this morning (9:50 am show as I am sure it was intended). It is batsh!t crazy and although I didn't love it, I appreciate a big budget movie that takes chances. It's going to be some folks favorite and some folks least favorite movie of the year.

Imagine thinking that checks and balances, a principle you can teach to an elementary school child, are unnecessary and you can just do what you want, you are the greatest, you are the smartest and the sycophants around you encourage it and the media is so afraid of you, they don't say a word.

That Jurassic Park Xfinity ad was the worst cgi I've ever seen. Looked worse than a.i. Good concept for an ad. Awful execution.

I don't know who came up with the UberEats as campaign of "Let's make Matthew McConaughey annoying for 30 seconds" but I wish then nothing but the worst luck for the rest of their career. Pretty impressive making such a beloved actor and public figure hated so fast.
