coming back from my art hiatus with more blitz + appel #art #oc #dnd #tohd

an elf and a tiefling run across a grassy field. the elf, blitz, is chinese coded, with long dark hair and is dressed in red robes. the tiefling, appel, is dravidian coded, with dark curly hair, ram horns, and silver armor. behind them, the clouds blow, and birds fly across. large, thorny vines intertwine over the scene, as a frame. the piece is rendered in reds and blues, with a sharp contrast where sky meets land.

doing "it's not transphobia because trans boys are allowed and it's not gender discrimination because [cis] girls are allowed" is, very hilariously, a similar context to how crenshaw constructed the legal framework on intersectionality

JUSTICE BARRETT: Counsel, can I ask you a question about analytically in the discrimination on the basis of transgender status, since trans boys can play on boys' teams, how would we say this discriminates on the basis of transgender status when its effect really only runs towards trans girls and not trans boys?

2024 art summary! i didn't get to make as many fully rendered pieces as last year, but i DID meet a lot of new goals--i drew an eight page disco elysium comic (!!!), finished a sketchbook in record time, and studied lots of anatomy and composition--so in the end i'm happy
