one of the worst things we’ve quietly accepted as a society is the idea that police unloading wildly on someone who’s running away is in the interest of “public safety” (probably doesn’t even apply in this case, but the fact it was the excuse they went with still illustrates my point)

the president of the United States declared war on several US cities months ago they even had cute little nicknames for their operations, just like in an actual war I wish the media would accurately report this information

too many people saw MeToo explode and then fade away during Trump’s first term and then Trump managed to get reelected *after* being convicted of raping someone and it feels like the lesson some folks “on the left” took from that was what MeToo was not real or not really important or bad actually
