What made this talk particularly interesting to me is hearing from somebody who's been using AI and language models to solve real business problems since *before* the whole ChatGPT/Copilot/Claude "age of AI", and how the current wave of AI affected all the stuff they were already working on.

The low light camera on the iPhone 17e is absolutely phenomenal. I took this yesterday in the fruit bat house at Cotswold Wildlife Park. Near-total darkness and no flash.

The best way to deal with the hot weather is to watch Channel 4’s 2002 dramatisation of Ernest Shackleton’s Antarctic expedition, starring Kenneth Branagh as the eponymous explorer. It evokes the frozen Antarctic so well I believe it is impossible to watch it and not feel cold. 🥶
