A beautiful day with beautiful friends, I can’t ask for more. How’s everyone else taking care of their mental health today?

I’ve found that practicing daily gratitude is something that has been both very helpful for my mental health and also my view of the world at large. What are you grateful for today?
Just gotta catch that light just right. Thinking back to soaking some sore muscles in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland. So grateful for the opportunities I have to travel.
Iceland was absolutely breathtaking - seeing whales, dolphins, thermal rivers and pools, ice caves, the hikes and mountains, and getting to spend it with the best company I could hope for ♥️ #iceland #adventure #travel
"Healing takes time, and asking for help is a courageous step." - Mariska Hargitay I feel like asking for help is one of the bravest things someone can do. It takes vulnerability and bravery, and in my opinion, is never a sign of weakness.
"You are not a burden. You have a burden, which by definition is too heavy to carry alone." I like the belief that the first sign of human civilization was a healed femur 15,000 years ago. It meant that someone was injured and someone stayed behind to help them. It’s human to share the burden.
Over the weekend against Kings Cross - photos by the talented non.secretive.plotter on Instagram - love my rugby boys.
“Be patient with yourself. Nothing in nature blooms all year.” —Unknown I try to think of my personal growth like climbing a mountain (with no peak, because personal growth never ends). You can't sprint up a mountain, you climb, you rest, you climb, you rest. It's not a race.
Your mental health is everything - Prioritize it. Make the time like your life depends on it, because it does. - Mel Robbins This is why it’s so important for me to talk about mental health. Mental health isn’t a convenience, or a privilege. It’s a need.
"What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation." - Glenn Close This is one of the biggest reasons why I always talk about mental health - how we can reduce the stigma of talking about it is by treating it like it's not something to avoid talking about.
Sometimes it’s nice to take a break between clients and get lost in a good comic.
Happy Valentine’s Day to my beautiful, wonderful husband.
The only thing stronger than hate is love. If I asked you to name all the things you love, how long until you name yourself?
“I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship.” —Louisa May Alcott This is something that I think about often that's helped me - I've let go of the idea that things get easier, as that's honestly out of my control. Things don't get easier, I get stronger.
“You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice.” —Bob Marley Someone once told me that “change occurs when pain outweighs fear” and that always stuck with me. We change when we have to, maybe even are brave when we have to be.
I used to have a mentality of “if I can’t do my whole workout, why bother” but I realized how self-sabotaging that is. Anything is better than nothing, even if it’s just a little.
“Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky.” —Thich Nhat Hanh Feelings are like a storm - you can choose to be outside getting wet or inside and dry observing the storm. You are not your feelings.
