“Hmm. Yeah, that’s fair,” Lizzy reached out and twirled one of V’s drenched strands of hair around her finger before cradling her cheek. “So what brings you out here, then? To this part of town?”
A low, deep rumble sounded from V as her eyes grew half-lidded, leaning into Lizzy’s palm. Her tail flicked to and fro behind her, the glowing, venomous stinger at its end almost… comforting in some sense. Like a lantern in the dark. “You know why I’m here.”
“Well yeah, but I want to hear you say it.”
V let out a long, deep sigh, leaning as close as she could without crossing the threshold of Lizzy’s window. Her wings coiled closer around her as she held Lizzy’s hand to her cheek, staring intensely into her eyes. “I missed you,” her voice teetered on the edge of a purr. “Is that what you’re after? I missed you, and N is out somewhere with Uzi, and I didn’t want to go home to an empty manor.”
Something that felt like affection tugged at Lizzy’s heartstrings. She brushed her thumb back and forth slowly across V’s rough skin, then leaned forward to press her lips against the vampire’s own. A purr tickled her lips as V shifted to secure the kiss, clawed fingers tracing delicately up Lizzy’s neck and resting over her pulse point.
She tasted like petrichor.
Like heavy rain in a wild pine forest; a cool relief in the haze of summer… and Lizzy could smell it faintly on her – the earthy notes and wildflowers that grew by the nearby lake. It was exhilarating, she could feel her heart thumping under V’s finger tips now as she pressed her warm nose into V’s cold cheek. She was so wild, and untamed, and free, and it always felt as though she stirred something kindred in Lizzy’s own heart. Something she had had to quell for so long.
“So… can I come in?” V muttered quietly, grazing her fangs back and forth against the corner of Lizzy’s lips.

All i want to say is that I hope the rest of the novel to be better. I liked some changes but there were things that bothered me way too much in this comic. At least MD novel has amazing art!

I wanted to get this oneshot out for Valentine's Day, but life had other plans unfortunately. So since I missed WIP Wednesday this week, you can have a #WIPWednesday on a Saturday. 💗💛 This is for the Human/Vampire AU day for Vizzy Week! I love writing V being a sopping wet cat. #MurderDrones #Vizzy

For a regular human, to scale the outer walls of Lizzy’s house and perch upon her windowsill would have been impressive. Not impossible, perhaps, but certainly an arduous challenge. Then again, it was no trouble for V, because V was no regular human. Regular humans didn’t have eyes that reflected like a cat’s. Or long, black tails ending in bright, venomous barbs. They didn’t have claws, or fangs, and they most certainly didn’t have a set of five, demonic eyes on a headband shaped growth sprouting from between their silver locks.
No. V was certainly not a regular human.
Now, you might be easily led to believe that vampires love the rain. After all, the clouds block out the sun, making it easier to skulk about in the daytime and snatch up unsuspecting prey. In fact, the opposite was true. Lizzy had recently discovered that they found the rain deeply overstimulating to their heightened senses; blurring their eyesight so they couldn’t fly safely, creating a crescendo to their sensitive ears, and a persistent torture that assaulted their skin.
Large, bat-like wings, crooked and torn, curled around V protectively, trying to shelter her from the worst of the downpour, though pointed ears still flicked with annoyance as the irritating droplets hit her cool, taupe skin. A finger was raised, its long, dark claw mere inches from the glass, and Lizzy watched as the slit, feline pupils softened and dilated into something a little less uncanny the moment they landed on her.
“Hey,” her voice was muffled by the glass. “Morning, princess.”
Lizzy unlocked the latch and turned the handle on her window, and as it slid slowly open, V shuffled on the ledge to avoid it knocking her off balance. “It’s a bit early for visitors, you know,” Lizzy drawled. “Couldn’t you have let me sleep in just a little longer?”
“A little longer and it’ll be sunrise.”
Lizzy stared at her blankly, then past her out into the near pitch black of the outside world.

KOG IS GREENLIT! Since this was shown in the trailer/ad for the artbook it felt safe to share. This was drawn in '24, early dev, the first time it really felt me, Zach, and JBO understood Frankie, Andi, and the show's tone. I still look at this drawing and think, oh yeah. That's #knightsofguinevere.

An early development digital drawing in color depicting Frankie and Andi, covered in android blood, in front of an early concept for the Repair Halo which had lots more details. An android (that was not necessarily Gwen at the time) lays between them, mid operation.

Hey friends, just a short #WIPWednesday piece today as I was so mad busy last week and now I'm sick so uh ✌️ Woe, gay little drones upon yee. #MurderDrones #Vizzy

Even just pretending for a moment that these were for someone else seemed to help. Within minutes, V’s arms were full, hugging a small selection close to her chest as she slunk back towards the changing rooms. Her timing couldn’t be more perfect, as Lizzy’s head poked out from behind one of the curtains, a scowl set on her face.
“I look stupid,” she grumbled.
“I severely doubt that.”
“And it’s your fault.”
V barked a dry laugh, rolling her eyes as she approached. Her fingers curled around the curtain, but Lizzy’s eyes widened and she clasped it tighter, balling it in her fists in defiance. V felt her eyes narrow. “Oh, come on. It can’t be that bad.”
The look she gave her said otherwise, but eventually she relented, letting V roll back the divider.
Okay, Lizzy was a flat out liar. As V had strongly suspected, Lizzy did look amazing in anything. The Worker stood there with a surprising bashfulness as all of V’s eyes cast themselves excitedly over her form. A baggy, white band shirt hung lazily over her torso, a studded belt breaking up the shape around her waist. The black denim vest she wore was littered with patches and pins of bands and shows from a bygone era, many faded and rusted from their time out in the wastelands. She’d found something else, not initially part of the ensemble, perhaps snatched from a shelf when V wasn’t looking, something safe, something pink; a pleated, tartan skirt. Somehow it worked perfectly, slotting into the outfit like a missing puzzle piece.
It was… casual punk. A tiny step over the threshold of Lizzy’s comfort zone. Different, and yet…
“You look… uh… nice,” V managed awkwardly, feeling the heat prickling the circuits in her head.
