This gave me the inspo for my MC’s cutthroat world. Copeland described how employees ranked each other via virtual baseball cards in a corporate hunger games. The lone woman exec was called the ice queen and unfairly terminated. In my book, I was determined to to give the “ice queen” a better end.

What’s helped you improve the most as a writer? For me, it was reading and creating a near daily pattern of writing, but I’m so curious to hear what you all think?
A trusted CP told me, my characters need a bit more romantic euphoria before I destroy their worlds, which is happy news for a romance writer. You mean I get to write one more chapter of hope and connection? Count me in! I aim to channel Jamie and Claire vibes, but you know, contemporary. 🤞🤞🤞👌👌👌

Doing line edits one chapter a day, but with the chapters out of chronological order. I’ve never done that before, and it helps me focus on the chapter as a whole and really get into the small details. #editing #writergirl #ilovewriting
