Hoping to brew up a couple more #PendragonMTG decks going into next week. Sif’s Spearmaster and Hulkbuster for my wife. And looking at Spider-Rex and Spear of Bashenga. This is so fun!

After talking with my wife, she wants to try #mtgpendragon too! Looking at Sif’s Spearmaster and Hulkbuster Armor for the targeted blast. The deck will definitely be burn focused.

Had an amazing date with my wife yesterday! Running around Seattle looking for sculptures on buildings. There so much you don’t see when you’re walking around! We had to cross streets to see some of the designs, awnings helps a lot with rain but not so much to find bulls on the colosseum building.

Liz’s socks are such harder to match and fold than mine. Her’s are tiny and they ball themselves up in the dryer. Finding a sock’s friend should be easier, but it with these itty bitty bastards.

Finding a book at the library, blasting through it, loving it, finishing it, and it’s damn dramatic and heartbreaking ending (telegraphed too, I knew it!). And you’re telling me the sequel isn’t out yet?!? I have to wait? I’m never reading a recent book again. I’m not made for this.

Got up earlier to take Iroh on a walk before it gets too hot. I miss the winter already. Haven’t even had my coffee yet.

One of the things I wasn’t prepared for while losing weight- season clothes that were too small are now too big. I didn’t get to wear them when I was the right size! Is this common? I can’t be the only one.

Today I finished a D&D 5.5 campaign! Happy to conclude it and the last session was awesome. Players said they had a good time, but this was not my best work. Going down to 1 campaign, every other week. When that concludes, I’ll see where I’m at.

First MTG Pendragon deck is finalized. Hopefully I’ll have the next 3-4 built soon.

Played commander at my old LGS. Haven’t been back for about 8 years. It was great to jam games with some old friends. Also played 7 commander games in 7 hours, it was awesome! And got my last missing equipment for Pendragon!

Going home to help my sister is a disaster. I knew it wouldn’t be good. I was a fool to think it would be better than it is.

Got foil and nonfoil versions of Teacher’s Pest because Reassembling Skeleton is a perfect card and this is damn close. But do I rock Sek’Kuar or Old Rutstein? Either way is going for graveyard combo shenanigan.

For dungeon masters, particularly 5.5, what boost to CR would you give to a monster that takes away spell slots during its attacks? Like this baddie is like a Black Company Taken. I was planning to give him a bonus action to make a PC save vs lose a spell slots. But is It too much resource denial?

In an effort to get some people to play Pendragon with me, I figured I need to build at least 4 decks. Current deck plans: Umezawa’s Jitte + Viashino Slaughtermaster Elbrus + Dreamscape Artist Sword of the Realms + Bloodflow Connoisseur The Key to the City + Spider-Rex Maybe two more?

Jammed some commander after work! Sauron, Lord of the Rings got there for game 1. Game 2, died to a Moogle horde and it was completely deserved. #mcvegas

I think for the next two months or so I’m going to end up building every Raphael and Raphael & Brother deck for commander. Ooohhhhh nooooooo.

I think people should embrace janky commanders. Sauron, Lord of the Rings is not as powerful as the Sauron, the Dark Lord. But that 8 mana gives you so much! A huge commander, an army, and graveyard enabling and reanimation. On a cast trigger!

I made a few new decks during some PTO. The one I think will actually stick around is Sauron, Lord of the Rings. Yeah’s he’s expensive. But in bracket 2 (and even bracket 3) he gives you so much board presence. A 9/9 trampler, 5/5 orc army, and a reanimate. Plus Orc and Reanimate are cast trigger!

Built a new deck today. Played the new deck today. The new deck is not close to where I want it. Rohgahh, Kher Keep Overlord was really fun, but I was always behind.

Mana base investment is always good for new players. You always need good lands to cast spells.

Tip for new players, pick up the shocklands from lorwyn. They are very cheap and shocklands are ALWAYS GOOD, In every format they are legal in! 7 bucks for a steam vents is an investment worth making!

Is it weird to like wrapping presents? Weirder still- wrapping is like gendered??? People are always fucking blown away that I, a man with a beard and..idk man hands or some shit… can wrap a present neatly. With little excess paper, tucking the corners all neat. When the fuck did this happen?

While the worlds championships are in Bellevue this weekend, Mox Bellevue has the Not-Quite-Worlds Team Trios today! The event sold out and we have the Pathfinder ECC event too. It’s going to be a big gaming day at work.

I’m really hoping 2026 is the year we finally get a legendary Searing Meditation. I want to make this my commander so badly! It might even be better with power creep. Like 1 mana for 2 damage.

I love crossing the street at the 90 off ramp. With the light. Off ramp has a red light. I am wearing white and a high vis safety vest. My dog is wearing a reflective vest. Had to yell at a driver that apparently couldn’t see us as he kept coming forward. Into the cross walk.

I’m so happy all our prereleases are sold out. It’s a good sign for drafts and the upcoming standard “season” doing well. Holidays will always throw a wrench but I’ll take these wins for the store.

RPG campaign is having another off week. I know life happens, I’m not blaming anyone in the group. But I feel like we’re missing weeks more than gaming and it does not spark joy for GMing. Considering pitching weekly to rebuild consistency (currently play every other week).

I blame this video/podcast youtu.be/ymBLUsjcdQs for having me all excited to scrap decks when fall hits fully. Vivi is likely cut for playing a little too solitaire. Rip is solid, but I think the two decks I’ve built recently capture my goals better. And the Clue commanders are calling to me.
