Right now my Rogue Trader Space Marine army consists of only three painted marines. Two more to complete the squad have been on painting blocks for an embarassingly long time. 😬 😅

Inching ever closer to opening day: received the first metal miniatures from the casters, with more to come, but getting these packaged up now. Doing everything by hand! 😅 Really pleased with how the packaging has come out, the old school 80s-90s feel is exactly what I wanted. 😁

Sealed blisters of Necrotales Games NTA10 Rogue -- this is an Ex-Otherworld Miniatures figure, now with a new home. Each figure is in a plastic bubble on a turquoise foam, very much reminiscent of old 80's to 90's packaging.

Citadel ADD78 Mind Flayers. Skin is ProAcryl Faded Ultramarine base, Contrast Ultramarine wash, mix of the two, then highlighted mix with ivory, and mix with GW Bloodshade. Not because I think there's demand for a good Illithid skin recipe, but so I'll know when I get around to the other six. 😅

A trio of Citadel ADD79 Mind Flayers, Variant 1C, 2C, 3C, painted in blues, purples, and ultramarine. They stand on foam terrain styled like the underdark, with a suitable backdrop.

Rogue Trader RT603 Ambull Bought this one new as a kid! It languished in poorly painted state (some cheap Krylon tan with a brown wash) until I stripped and repainted this past month. Opted for a classic style, tho I was tempted to make it match my tyranid scheme. #roguetrader #oldhammer

These remain my two fav pieces of John Blanche's art. John's art and Jes Goodwin's sculpts are the probably the two biggest factors that made me crazy for the old Citadel ADD series. Rest well, John.

John Blanche art used for the blister packs of the Citadel ADD series of miniatures. It also appeared as a full page ad in White Dwarf. The scene depicts a fighter in chainmail and plate swinging a sword that crackles faintly with electricity and a white garbed wizard while facing a green dragon, coiled around to face them.Box for the Citadel Tom Meier Zombie Dragon, with art by John Blance. A warrior in dark plate armour faces off against a decaying zombie in a foggy marsh.

I look back at minis I painted literally decades ago as "quick paint jobs for next week's D&D session" and feel like I've become a worse painter over the years. 😭😂

An assortment of Reaper miniatures, painted up as various Dungeons and Dragons characters.

A fine Sunday spent zenithal priming. Lots of Citadel stuff: FS2 Altar & Sacrifice, FS31 Lion's Head Fountain, Fiend Factory Scorpion, C15 Orcs, C46 Villagers, C06 Dwarf, and C21 Goblin Wolfriders.

Many Citadel miniatures, freshly zenithal primed, ranging from Fantasy Specials (FS2 Altar & Sacrifice, FS31 Lion's Head Fountain), Fiend Factory Scorpion, C15 Orcs, C46 Villagers, C06 Dwarf, and C21 Goblin Wolfriders.

Apparently never posted this here before. Citadel Gothic Horror "Betty" is confronted by a Night Horrors "Man in Flames" on the streets. Not clear if she's reaching for spare change or a pistol. Random trivia: the Man in Flames was previously released as a solid base Runequest "Storm Demon."

I think the feeling of having some random AI bluesky bot spamming at someone with your handle is the same feeling as realizing you stepped in dog poo on the sidewalk. Blocked 'em, but ugh. 🤢 I don't want to be associated with that crap.

Finally making some progress on this project after a few years sitting "idol." Bought this direct from Otherworld Miniatures a couple years before they closed. Not the longest time I've gone on a WIP project between updates if I'm honest! 😬

A Work-in-Progress Otherworld Miniatures Demon Idol terrain piece, sitting on a platform of unpainted Hirst Arts blocks and Dragonforge resin columns. A series of wires run to the braziers and central fire, which are flickering lights inset into clear resin.

Did you know that Citadel once made Stormtroopers as a test for a potential line of Star Wars minis? Converted this one to be a Sandtrooper (a little greenstuff on the shoulder and chest). Sadly, this one is almost certainly a recast, since it came from eBay. 😭 #oldhammer #starwars #citadel
