Ever wonder how black bears stay cool in the warmer weather? Mud baths help! Bears may also cool off in creeks and meadows. A wildlife camera documented this black bear at ESLT’s Antelope Lake Conservation Easement.

These tranquil, river sounds come to us courtesy of Huntoon Valley Meadow on ESLT’s Ullman Ranch Conservation Easement. The meadows are host to three tributaries: Swauger Creek, Harvey Creek, and Long Valley Creek.

What do baby grand pianos, vending machines, and adult grizzly bears share in common? They weigh around 600 pounds. That's how many pounds of russian thistle, mustard, and flixweed were removed around Mono Lake by a group of ~30 fearless volunteers!
