It's the earliest NWSL start ever, necessary due to ~7 weeks off for the World Cup. More on NWSL realities of February, World Cup...and scheduling as MLS flips its calendar:

security tried to tell us we couldn’t have these trans pride flags because we can’t have flags, also implied security didn’t search our *clear* bags. these are smaller than the towels the team handed out at previous games and less flag like than the rainbow fans from last game.

What are the odds there would be a Denver #NWSL team to return to 14 years later? On the deeply personal journey, & returning to the future she helped build.
Ended up not watching most of the match but the fact that I opened up Instagram and this is the first post that I got says it all. It wasn’t Lavelle’s goal, or anything from the match, but a clip reminding us all why this game was unsafe for players, fans and everyone involved.
