We are sorry to report an issue affecting access to the Brill platform. Off-campus users trying to access through iDiscover or A-Z Databases might see an error message “Max challenge attempts exceeded”. The supplier has been alerted, and we hope the issue will be resolved soon.

An issue with the Peter Lang ebook platform has caused the Library Access download buttons to disappear & is preventing access to a number of books. The publisher is investigating and will hopefully find a resolution soon. We apologise for the inconvenience and will post an update as soon as we can.

We’re aware of an issue affecting access to all titles on the Bloomsbury Collections ebook platform. The issue has been reported, and we hope it will be resolved soon. We apologise for any inconvenience in the meantime.

EBSCO are performing scheduled maintenance today (April 1st) from 1 PM, which is expected to last approximately 10 minutes. During this time users may see errors when downloading ebooks or viewing the online reader. For errors in the online reader, please try refreshing the page to restore access.

Some users are reporting issues accessing ebooks on Ebook Central. ProQuest are investigating as a matter of high priority. In the meantime, the following solutions may help:

Other collections in iDiscover are currently affected by this issue, including Taylor & Francis, Bloomsbury and selected OUP. We advise searching for the books you need on the relevant platforms but please contact ebooks@lib.cam.ac.uk if you need any help. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

EBSCO will be performing scheduled maintenance on Friday 9th January at 11AM, which they expect to complete in about 2 hours. During this time, users may lose access to EBSCO ebooks for approximately 10 minutes. Access should be automatically restored once the maintenance work is complete.
