I watch too much TikTok like most people but companies losing all interest in curation is so depressing.
Disney's streaming service will soon feature user-made content from TikTok, the company has announced. https://bit.ly/457UTF6
Just discovered that EA seems to be making an entire edition of FC 27 exclusive to an early pre-order window. Which, seems insane? Doomspiral Capitalism shit right here.
Besides outright clickbait/lying this might be the perfect encapsulation of the state of how not to make content for games media. Couldn't believe it, personally.
Mahershala Ali gonna be throwing fists at the Ghost Rider premiere because it came out and Blade never did.
Extremely excited to share a massive piece I worked very hard on. I talked to FFXIV’s Naoki Yoshida, Warframe’s Rebecca Ford, and ESO’s Nick Giacomini anout what the future of MMORPGs looks like - and how the live service scene has altered that, if at all www.gamesradar.com/games/mmo/ho...

There are other months beyond February. Please. Also Fable getting screwed over here. Feel bad for the devs.

I love when ads "create value" for me as a player.
XBOX Insiders - "Today, we’re starting to test an ad-supported way to stream select games from your library for a limited time, available to XBOX Insiders." Players will have one hour session limits across supported devices and regions. news.xbox.com/en-us/2026/0...
I really enjoyed my time with The Mound. While it has its issues its one of Nacon's strongest games and exploring the jungle itself is consistently surprising and riveting as you learn how it behaves. My review:
A novel, engaging co-op horror "The Mound brings something fresh to co-op horror that could do with some more polish." Our Verdict: 75/100 Full Review:👇 www.gamerguides.com/the-mound-om...
Nice to see Burnham clearing out a large chunk of the rota from the last Government. Wish it was everyone but at least some of the most incompetent people are finally gone like Peter Kyle, Liz Kendall, and Steve Reed.
I don't even think it's obvious to Xbox execs what they want to make exclusive.
"We are committed to making this clearer" - Xbox executives say it's "not obvious" to all players what its criteria are for making its games console exclusives or multiplatform. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/we-are-...
The last 90 minutes or so of The Odyssey might be flawless filmmaking honestly.
If I was a journalist I would simply not fawn over my subject like a teenage girl meeting their famous crush.
Jez is in an "Executive Editor" at a gaming news outlet. I think saying "I'm not a journalist" is a massive shirking of editorial standards and expectations especially when he lead his tweet with this article with "BREAKING". I am not berating the man, I am holding him to a standard as my peer.
I'm sorry but why once again do you decide to berate a fellow colleague within game media? Firstly, Jez himself is the first person to say he's not a journalist, just like lots of other people in the industry clarifies.
The idea of investing more in Starfield is honestly baffling to me.
We really havent got past the praise and glowing obituaries for despicable people. Honestly, we don't have to say nice things about terrible people in this country.
Woke up to the news Ann Widecombe has died which is honestly a great sign for the rest of the year given Reform is falling apart.
It can be hard to perceive the real-world impacts these moves have outside of the art that doesn't get made, but I really cannot overstate how brutal the Romero Games' rugpull was for the whole Irish games industry. Basically, everyone here knew someone affected.
Decided to play Ghost Recon Breakpoint for some reason and this might be the most Ubisoft game to ever Ubisoft. Truly bleak game design.
This is when everyone pretends to have played/bought Avowed after it failed to find a large enough crowd twice. Also this is when we all pretend not to have wanted an Obsidian Fallout for +10 years. Of course the how/why sucks, but it is what it is.
Listen, I love Obsidian but why you would greenlight an Avowed sequel is baffling. A game which underperformed and came and went. Like who is making these decisions.
BREAKING: Obsidian Entertainment is making a big pivot as part of the Xbox restructuring. It has laid off a quarter of its staff, canceled a planned sequel to Avowed, and is now beginning work on a new Fallout game, according to people familiar with the plans www.bloomberg.com/news/article...
Gutting id and saying you want more Quake and Doom games feels silly but again I don't run a gazillion dollar business.

Bit of an outlier here, but I rather enjoyed this. Although I came at it with no connection to the franchise and mostly just found it to be a fun RPG with some great visuals. Review:
An RPG worth checking out "Sword Art Online Aims for the Widest Audience Yet and Succeeds" Our Verdict: 82/100 Full Review:👇 www.gamerguides.com/echoes-of-ai...
Really good date for this. The Open Beta was a really strong slice of the game and as someone who didn't love the original, I am very excited to check out the full thing.

I don't really know where Undead Labs ends up, but I hope Focus Entertainment picks up Ninja Theory. It's a really good match and Focus are arguably one of the best publishers around right now.
Just catching up on all these Xbox layoffs. Truly devastating stuff.
A rough date given the competitive period but it's nice to finally have a date. It's been sooooo long.
