figure it out

as a coeliac, i absolutely concur. used to be a fucking nightmare trying to eat. the only gluten free bread you could get was like rock, in both substance and taste. the other week i ordered freshly made yum cha for everyone helping us move and didn't have to just enjoy it vicariously

Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.

air travel is one of those experiences that has gotten monotonically worse over my entire lifetime

question though: has *anything* in the last 40+ years genuinely gotten *better*?

like, there's *more* stuff, sure, but is any of it *better*?

i do not want to engage with will stancil or his coterie of chart boys, but i would very much like to be put on one of the "uncivil" blocklists so that i never have to see anyone who thinks he is not an insufferable contrarian misogynist crybully who deliberately seeks out negative attention

look i get it. we dont rank as a priority at all. us worthless, unimportant ones have the gall to complain when you're not even hunting us down or screaming slurs. we get so upset at such tiny issues like constant, casual denial of our personhood. the nerve. but could you at least not lie abt it?

haven't rly been smoking much since i arrived in brissy. only had 3 cigs yesterday and im not even trying to quit or anything, though because i already haven't been smoking much i keep going "do i actually want this cig or am just going for one out of habit?" and the answer is usually the later.
