Day 5 at EdCo Summer Workshop, Cohort 12 finished their Understanding by Design units and discussed each other’s work during a gallery walk. Then, using everything they learned this week, our newest EdCo Members ran their own mini-unconference! Congrats to Cohort 12 for completing Summer Workshop!

DAY 4 at EdCo Summer Workshop, Cohort 12 completed their “Critical Friends” protocol training and then moved to a human-centered Design Thinking exercise, co-developing solutions with their partners. Later, Cohort 12 reflected on their week so far with teachers of similar experience levels!

DAY 3 at EdCo Summer Workshop, we facilitated an incredible panel on “Being Human in the Age of AI” with panelists Christine Park, Dr. Xiu Cravens, Dr. Bayan Jalalizadeh, and Matt Sullivan! Afterwards, we joined Cohort 12 for a Program Tour, showing our newest Members everything EdCo has to offer!

DAY 1 at EdCo Summer Workshop, Cohort 12 jumped right in! They created norms in small groups AND as a whole group. Then, we all saw an incredible demonstration of “Critical Friends” tuning protocol via a “fishbowl” w/ EdCo Members Tina Atkinson, Isbel Salgueiro, Laura Briggs, and Randi Stephens!

Year Nine! Building off the momentum of our teacher-led Programming, we brought on a dedicated Program Coordinator to help serve our growing Membership. With 200+ Members, this role allowed EdCo the capacity to maintain its established calendar as well as expand the support we offer our teachers!

Year Eight! While our all-teacher Advisory Council shaped our Programming, EdCo Members were out and about, supporting each other all over Nashville. SY ‘23 - ‘24 was an amazing combo of art shows, Study Groups, EdCo Flagship Events, and more. We even facilitated a panel on banned books!
