With well-enforced 7-7-7 bus lanes this wouldn't happen. Instead we await an announcement of a trial. 11+ years ago CEC cut its bus lanes almost at a stroke. 7 years ago it agreed @chasbooth.bsky.social motion ('nem con') to reinstate them. No doubt there'll be 'fury' on their return.

This 👇 But also observing that even without the ad, an equivalent clear panel would be needed to provide shelter. AND; bus stops should not be in bays, which make it hard to pull into the kerb. AND; why is that pole there? (if it's for the bus flag it's at the wrong end) etc etc

This bus stop is very recently rebuilt and TfGM seem to have forgot that someone in a wheelchair may want to use it.

More I think about the Kafkaesque labyrinth of TRO and consultation bureaucracy the council ties itself up in with when it comes to removing a parking space or a modal filter, it's infuriating that when it comes to bus stops it just needs a shrug and an attitude of "yeah, fuck it" to make a change

Reminder that a Scotrail single from Waverley to Haymarket is £3.10. And basically there's a train every few minutes (EXCEPT THIS MORNING www.scotsman.com/news/traffic... ) 'Bus passes' don't apply, as far as we know. @edinburghminute.com @edinreporter.bsky.social @joshpizpom.bsky.social

Bus users, operators and local authorities all share an interest in keeping Edinburgh's buses an attractive, reliable and efficent way to travel. Temporary bus priority measures should be considered whenever diversions are introduced to reduce delays and keep passengers moving.
