1) What's in a Prague 4 Street Name, day 427: Višňová, built in 1925.
Here's an old street post I transferred to my website two years ago today. When people ask me what my favourite street to write about was, this is still one the first that comes into my head. whatsinapraguestreetname.com/2024/08/22/p...

1) What's in a Prague 4 Street Name, day 422: Jižní spojka, built in the 1980s, and given a name in 1992. Re: the lack of street sign, walking along the motorway until I found one didn't quite appeal yesterday, and may not be all that legal.

The resignation of this man - a father of two - did not need to become the media frenzy that it did. Sadly, a huge chunk of our media - and of regular posters on social media - have no discernible talents, interests or hobbies other than going on witch hunts.

I MEANT UKRAINIAN VILLAGE Sleep deprivation is real.
Greetings from Chicago’s American Village.
Eclipse memories (no photos, I'm afraid). When the 1999 eclipse occurred, I was in Hungary, on a trip which was my first beyond the former Iron Curtain (and which was therefore very, very formative, to say the least).

1) What's in a Prague 4 Street Name, day 415: Kykalova, built in 1973. I'd love this to have a street sign, but whenever I have time to head to Krč, it's either a billion degrees or about to tip down a storm. May this not last.
Unrelated rant: I love keeping up to date with friends - and getting intelligent content the algorithm still sends me - on Instagram, but I HATE HATE HATE this era of 'post a brief video of yourself and post a 'hot' take that probably isn't even yours over it.' Thank God nobody I know IRL does that.
1) What's in a Prague 4 Street Name, day 414: Přechodní, named in 1938.
Side note: I'm aware that I'm taking far too many breaks in posting these. Reasons include absences at weekends (Krč walking time), work trips, the damn heat and what I mistakenly feel is a reduced audience post-Twitter (that part is a fallacy - the website is getting more hits than ever).
1) What's in a Prague 4 Street Name, day 413: Na sponě, built in or before 1941.
Hartigova: 2022-2026. RIP. Will need to write about this. But can someone tell me who this Harig guy was first?

What’s In A Friend’s Birthday Party At The Tower of London, day 1 comes highly recommended.
