I've started to slowly collect the e-reader cards as I wanna cover them sometime. So far it seems like no one wants them unless they're super rare Pokemon ones which is ashame. Regardless, I got them put in a nice case and they'll be properly preserved, which puts me at ease. #ereader #nintendo

Practicing more photography today, I got some new shots with the lens that one of my editors recommended. I think for much smaller objects I'm gonna need a macro lens, but for now I'm doing my best and I think they're passable for what I'm trying to do moving into my documentation era.

This is a Nintendo Hanafuda set only given to Nintendo executives to commemorate the new building built in Kyoto Japan in 2014. It has a beautiful silver and gold platted hanafuda set with a wood burned Mario piece ontop. There is a gold plate on the bottom that says the year and date and Nintendo. A picture of the Hanafuda set from the previous image just a bit more close up. These have never been opened. This is a hanafuda set that predates World War 2. These have a bit of war and tear, but they have survived. Most hanafuda sets were often thrown away to prevent cheating. Many who threw them away were suspected to have an association with the Japanese Yakuza, but that's purely speculation. This is a normal deck of cards made and printed by Nintendo using the signature French and American styled "Trump Card". The lining of the cards have gold on them, and the case is made of a soft plush feel. I believe this is from the 1960s, but I could be mistaken.
