🚨 A new ride at Efteling in 2029! Missie Luminar will be a family thrill coaster inspired by 19th-century explorations. With a €50 million investment, riders will launch up to 80 km/h on a 2-minute adventure 🚀 The attraction will be located near the park’s main entrance 🌟
The amazing CARO show ends for good on December 30. Don’t miss it if you visit Efteling soon, there is no need to speak Dutch at all to enjoy the story! 🎠

Hooghmoed is now open! ⛏️ Congratulations to all the teams involved in bringing this project to life and further enriching the Baron 1898 story.
Efteling just published its 2025 annual report: there have been 5,78 million visits to the park by 4,98 million individual visitors. The number of individual visitors is still capped to 5 million by environmental law, but overnight guests are counted only once.
The new Magicaluna show starts today at the Efteling Theater. There are 3 showings per day, and all park guests can go see it free of charge. 🌙
A 16-seat boat is testing at De Vliegende Hollander. That’s 2 more seats than the other boats, as a seat has been added to each row of 3. This will increase capacity, but everyone will now see the back of another seat in front of them. ⚓️ 📷 : @jeroen989.bsky.social, @looopings.nl

Subtitles in Dutch, English, French and German are now available at 18 rides and fairy tales via the Efteling app. Audio description will also be added soon. 📱
In case you missed it: a new show will run daily in the Efteling Theater from April 3 to November 8. It is included in the park ticket, and the upcharge CARO show will still play on evenings. It will be non-verbal, so maybe we will manage to understand what’s going on. 🌙
Big changes in the Fairytale Forest 🍄 The Chinese Nightingale will close on March 8 before being reimagined and returning in a new form. A new fairy tale will make its appearance in 2027, becoming the 32nd tale: The Fairytale Library. 📚 Work starts March 9, 2026.
Near Baron 1898, work is in full swing on Hooghmoed, a set of three mini drop towers scheduled to open this summer.
We tried the croissant with orange cream, dark chocolate, meringue and candied orange: not convenient to eat but delicious 😋 📍 Hoorn des Overvloeds

The new Danse Macabre effects have been activated today! 🐈⬛ A choir referencing Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody clip appears on a screen where the monstruous cat's face previously showed up. Spooky projection mapping is also used on the wall around. What do you think?

After 26 years, the Chinese Nightingale will close permanently, but it will soon return to the Fairytale Forest in a brand-new form. 🪶 A new fairytale about a magical storybook library is also on the way. 📚
The last performance of the current Raveleijn show will take place on January 4, the new show and ride will open on December 1st, 2026. ⚔️
