This little monster is Sputnik. She's a small Testudo Horsfieldii. Her species were the first living Earth creatures to orbit the Moon as a part of the Soviet space program (the Zond 5 probe in 1968), along with some insect eggs and micro-organisms [1/3]

[1/6] Sometimes I'm lucky. Working on a project with a team leader that isn't me, I was instructed to used AI for some complicated calculations but the stupid AI got everything wrong so in the middle of the night I of course had to do it all by myself.

Riding the bus an hour ago, I saw something in the sky. First I thought it was an airplane but its smoke trail was strange and broken, and also the object moved far too fast and had a trajectory quite unusual for any of the ordinary plane routes around here. [1/3]

Today it's Midsummer's eve in Sweden. Most likely to have originated as a Norse celebration of the summer solstice, it has now evolved into a national holiday where many Swedes celebrate by eating pickled herring and singing about frogs (okay, not only those things). Happy midsummer, everyone! 🐸🇸🇪💐

Right. All of my neighbours thought that Monday night was a great time to engage in extremely loud prayer meetings and karaoke when I need to be working. The karaoke was short so I direct my anger to the religious people's prolongated terror.

So, another one of my articles for @popularastronomi.se made it to the front page! I'm deeply honoured! "Månen tur och retur" is by the way what the Tintin comic book "Destination Moon" is called in Swedish and my article is about Moon exploration and the #Artemis program.
