Okay so update: I regret not tracking which companies and roles I've been applying for, cause I've been VERY aggressive with sending out applications. It's defo more than 100 at this point, and have gotten a couple of responses with my app going further in the process

At somepoint when things have settled I wanna make a vid about the Millennium Prize Problems, cause I've had to deal with 4 of them and they're all very interesting. The 4 are Navier-Stokes, P vs NP, Riemann hypothesis, and Yang-Mills btw
I remember taking this quiz pre-covid, and it nailed that I was from the jersey shore. But now it's saying I'm from North Carolina??? It's because I consciously use "y'all" to as a gender neutral plural 2nd person pronoun, isn't it?
Update: my application has been accepted by a couple of companies! 🙏 Tho one of them had an assessment component that labeled me as competitive. Which is... nuanced Like I'm competitive with myself, wanting to always have personal improvement. But the assessment frames it as competing with others

That being said: I am looking to leaving academia and move to industry. Computational Methods are my specialty, especially in electrodynamics, quantum, and fluids. Seattle is my end goal, but I'd be happy to move anywhere that's a walk-able city. It'd be pretty cool if I could get a job referral!
