We are living in the post-truth era in America. The Iran war has officially ended over 40 times The Strait of Hormuz is open. War dead did not die in the war. Mitch McConnell is alive and well The economy can flourish without immigrant labor. And on and on.

As a Democrat, I like to explain the simple life lesson to republicans that “Sometimes, it is not about you”. It is a lot like a conversation with a 2 year old. We are not the same!
If the economy had one of these issues it would be okay. Inflation Out of control government spending High interest rates (kept high by inflation) $40 trillion in debt Tariffs Low corporate taxes Low taxes on the rich An expensive war But we have all of these issues!
www.cnbc.com/2026/07/24/t... Could you give us an example? Our poor filthy rich tech companies are suffering? Please explain this to me.
Trump threatens EU with 'substantial TARIFF' for 'ROBBING' U.S. tech giants

Fact: Trump can never admit being a loser. Fact: we cannot exit Iran without admitting defeat. It’s the definition of a conundrum.
Republicans do not hate taxes. They just hate paying them themselves. That’s what tariffs are. They are the ultimate “Somebody else pays for it”. And they are unable to see downstream consequences. More stupidity.
This is out of date. Tesla’s margins are now about 3%, and the PE is about 350. So it is even worse. It is just a car company. They have lots of competition. They do not manufacture magic.
Does anyone else think it’s odd that we have stopped talking about paying for anything? They are asking for money for the war. How about imposing a war tax on the very rich? FYI, yields on our T-bills are rising. Our debt is out of control.
RFK says the cyclospora outbreak is “under control”. Just like measles. Hegseth says we are winning/have already won the war in Iran, but can we have another $75 billion? And Trump just lies continuously. I miss believing our leaders.
That several major networks refused to air Trump’s speech live is actually a BFD. It is a very small step towards ignoring his bullshit. It may be years late, but at least it is a start.
Trump spews bullshit. Nobody is surprised. It’s a new day tomorrow, and we get to see it all over again.
I predict that tomorrow night our supreme leader will announce that he played a perfect round of golf, shooting 18 holes-in-one. You can let me know if I am right, I would rather put sharp sticks in my eyes than watch it.
If we get a dollar coin with the 🍊 💩’s ugly face on it, won’t Canada have copyright issues? They already have a dollar coin called the Loonie.
Todd Blanche has decided that if you raped children and Epstein was bribing you, you are the victim. Will someone please call him out on this? He is playing with semantics.
Kevin Warsh believes he is powerful enough to keep inflation at bay forever. Let me introduce you to my black swan. And get over yourself!
Is a brief illness similar to being poisoned by the Iranians for pushing for this war? They are getting closer Donny-Boy.
What can the NATO countries do to combat Trump’s idiotic demands? They can sell our debt. We have $40 trillion in debt and we have to sell $billions every day to keep up. The 10 year T-bill is almost at 4.6%. This war is a perfect blend of inflation and expense to make it worse.
Can’t we just run Platner with the tag line “At least he didn’t harm any children”? Just adding context.
How are those negotiations to end the war with Iran going? I guess we are just going to slink away quietly, pay $300 billion in reparations, and hope Iran doesn’t buy a nuke with all that money. Yay.
Meta pops 8% as company makes cloud push to sell excess AI compute capacity So much wrong here. Right now our entire economy is based on spending hundreds of $$billions on huge data centers. If we have excess capacity now, we are in for a rude awakening.
When the economy is being led by massive companies that have yet to make a profit - AI and rocket tech, or is being propped up by huge defense spending going on a U.S. credit card, it feels more like hope than actual strength.
I guess we don’t have to worry about breaking the peace accord until Thursday at 4pm when they close for the long holiday weekend.
Friday afternoon after the stock market has closed: Time to re-start the Iran war.
If the president doesn’t sign or veto the bill in 10 days, it becomes law. He is not as powerful or as clever as he thinks he is.
Goodbye to crypto. We hope you go the way of the Dodo. You had no purpose other than to scam people and abet fraudsters. Any tech product that is not widely adopted in a year or two is a failure. You’ve been around since 2009.
After a 6 month battle with Medicare, I received my biannual infusion today. It wipes out a very targeted part of my immune system so I don’t randomly and painfully lose nerves and become crippled. It has been working for 3 years. I am so damn happy 😃
The recent explosion in semiconductor stocks is based on the assumption that chip prices will remain high even as competition of AI chips increases dramatically. Yeah, sure. Historically, that has not been the case.
The Trump administration loves to point out that the stock market is hitting new highs every day too prove the US economy is strong. But average PE rates are at historical highs with many companies trading as though future earnings will be MASSIVE. What could go wrong?
