The main reason I left my previous job. They were ready to throw lots of money at me to make me stay, but would absolutely not consider letting me be creative outside of work.

I dissembled/re-assembled my 3D printer, isolated the fault, and now she works again. It was the definition of Type II Fun. During Repairs: I have wasted my money. I am an idiot. A contemptible fool. After: I have interrogated reality itself and forced it to heed my will.

Kitties made sure to make me take breaks while painting to give them pets and cuddles ๐Ÿ’• They also tried to eat the paint and brushes.. They were very fascinated by the painting in the end, looking at it and trying to scratch at it.

We have a guest here this week, this painting is a gift for them and I originally wanted to have this done last week. But I was sick. Thankfully got it done just in time, our guest is leaving tomorrow. Their mom took this photo earlier this year, on a walk with their dog, Fred, in Yorkshire Dales. And the moment I saw the photo, I knew I had to paint it. Itโ€™s a fantastic image. The painting is a gift for our guest and their parents. (But mostly for the mom, who took the picture). Itโ€™s painted with gouache paint. I love that medium so much. Still feel like Iโ€™m learning how to paint with it. Pretty happy with the reflection of the water. The house turned out a bit more yellow than it should be, but itโ€™s fine. Really happy with the texture of the tree bark. Image description: English countryside. Background, old English house on the left, large garden with round shaped shrubs. Large tree coming up from the middle of the painting, shading some of the yard and river. In the foreground there is a shallow river. Old stone wall, round stones covered in moss, divides the image, yard behind it, river in front. Small gate in the middle. Looking at my Pokemon card collection. I canโ€™t help but feel like there is a connection between these two cards. Like itโ€™s a cartoon telling a story. โ€œSleeping Gloom falling out of a treeโ€ The cards were made 20 years apart.

Two Gloom Pokemon cards in a binder. First card is from 2002, gloom is sleeping in a tree. Second card is from 2023, gloom is falling out of a tree. The composition is similar, the tree design is similar, the background is similar. In the first card it is day and in the second one it is sunset. Like some time has passed.

CUSHIONS!! When they announced the wool slab, a thought popped into my head.. โ€œWhat if they added cushions..โ€ But I just brushed it off, no.. thatโ€™s not gonna happen, Iโ€™m not gonna get my hopes up for that. OMG! Not only did Mojang add cushions! They made it the most versatile thing ever! I LOVE IT

I was at our cabin for a week, My favorite vacation spot ๐Ÿ’• ๐Ÿ’• Best view there is ๐Ÿ’• This is where I have been every summer all my life. First time for the kitties, they had lots of fun exploring and chasing flies. Got to see lots of family again, hasnโ€™t seen some of them in ages, was so nice.๐Ÿ’•

Visited family for my nephews birthday today, and as always, I was swarmed with requests for drawings. ๐Ÿฅฐ I love that they get so excited about my drawings. They can request anything and Iโ€™ll make it. And then they colour it ๐Ÿ˜„โœจ I have to draw very quickly to get through all of the requests ๐Ÿ˜†
