what i want from a file transfer service

a fictional website called epictransfers.gay is open on a browser and a phone, a file called xbox.zip is being sent at a speed of 32MB/s, using ultra p2p encryption transfer. at the bottom of the page there is a share link.

2/4
what i don't want from a file transfer service

three browser windows with fictional file-transfer websites are open. the first one is slow, showing a speed of 0.94MB/s. the second one has an annoying ad for "best video converter app for mac os x" as well as a label that says "we're fowarding ur unencrypted file through our server LMAO". the third one has a dialog box that says "lmao sorry", "ur file is like over 4gb or something and we’re an open source project that was bought out by some random company so maybe to transfer this file try this instead: lemonwire.gov.uk"

3/4
what i don't want to do, just to transfer files

there are multiple conversations between my little pony characters.

conversation 1:
lyra: hello pls add me to ur tailscale ssh so i can just rsync scp this file to u
rainbow: wtf is a tailscale
lyra: oh just download magic snakehole and send me ur code
rainbow: bro what
lyra: whats ur ftp server?

lyra: look i just want the movie file wtf

conversation 2:

twilight: okay here magnet:gjhajsdhf
lyra: okay i added it but its not working, what are is ur ip and port
twilight: where do i see my port
lyra: okay so enable dht and then check ur router settings and firewall mkay
twilight: okay done
lyra: hm still doesnt work do you have a syncthing?

conversation 3:
rarity: darling, just air drop it to my ibook pro
lyra: i have an eeepc fym air drop it to you???
rarity: ew
lyra: sorry.

conversation 4:
lyra: so um lets just use opentransfer.drop
moondancer: its dowm
lyra: hm well we can just use github.com/opentransfer
moondancer: fine okay lemme set it up
moondancer: okay they have a docker nice
moondancer: okay its downloading deps
moondancer: okay it is running now
moondancer: lemme set up a https tunnel
moondancer: okay try opentrans.moondancer.gay
lyra: doesnt work for me
moondancer: oh right i need to fix my rules
moondancer: okay try now
lyra: okay it opens nice, but uh it gets stuck at 0%
moondancer: okay uh i fixed the websocket proxy pass try again
lyra: oh hey it works now

4/4
no double-transfers
they work but take twice as long as they should
and often allow the “download” to start only once the “upload” is fully finished

the graphic shows lyra and bonbon transfering files through various means:
- google drive
- discord chat
- usb drive

♡~ ych commission for @deathblooom.bsky.social 🩷🖤⛓️ #commission ☆ #art

YCH halfbody commission, the character has dark hair with lighter ends and is wearing black & pink clothes. they're also wearing heavy makeup and accessories like a chocker, belt and chains. they're smiling at the camera with a hand near their face.

The image is of a four panel comic.
The first panel is titled “things that are spooky”. We see a book of hexes, a skull, candles, a pentagram in blood, and vampire teeth. Pointing off panel we see a speech bubble that says “I love it”.
The second panel is titled “things that are cute”. We see a strawberry cake, a boba drink, a bunny plushie, and a cute notebook and pen. Again, we see a speech bubble pointing off panel that says “I love it”.
The third panel is titled “things that are spooky AND cute”. We see a row of cute decorative ghosts.
The fourth panel shows Sarah, the protagonist, completely freaking out at this combination.
