A news is a news, but it depends on how you post it, how you talk about it. I'm one of those people who think: if you want to fix me, it's because you don't accept me. @pawpower https://beige.party/@pawpower/117027403903832280

I see people posting "feel good articles" about "curing" or "fixing" various disabilities. Usually the person posting the article doesn't have that disability. For example a blind person posting about a "cure" for deafness. I also understand that these posts aren't meant to be nasty or hurtful. But facts are, there's a very thin line between your "feel good story" and eugenics. There are many people in the world who resent their disability/s, there are also many people for whom their disability is an integral part of not only their identity, but their culture, societal structure, and language. There is not one right way to be disabled, so when people post these "feel good" stories without any nuance it absolutely can come across as eugenics. It can be upsetting to be the person deaf, and blind behind the keyboard and I open social media or a website and I see this story, that's trying to be "positive" but which is basically saying that my way of existing in this world is so wrong and bad that it needs to be "cured." Usually these "cures" are centered around how much easier it will be for the ableds. A blind child gets his sight back he can see his mom's face. A hearing little girl can hear that sound of her brothers laughter. There are people who have never seen or heard and they are living quite fine lives. You can argue that I, a deafblind person, am missing out on all the sighted/hearing things. But you, as a seeing or hearing person will never experience my world, the way things come across through touch, the close relationship I have with other beings because we rely on one another for survival. I'm not saying it's wrong to post these things and I'm not saying that there is not a segment of the population who would take a cure if you offered it to them. I am just asking that when people do post these things if they still choose to do it, but they realize that there is more than one side to the story and that your little happy moment is probably going to make someone else feel the sharp point of its eugenics underbelly.

Let me share something else about MARS exploration: the ship has currently a solid basic structure, but the engine hesitates. Sentient HIV virus is eager to control the commands, while for us humans there's just the messages "feed the virus and don't touch buttons"
