As a reptile owner, I think fantasy writers are missing out on a lot of comedy potential when it comes to dragons. Imagine a dragon rider going, “Nope, can’t saddle up Daemonflayme, dreaded shadow of the dark skies today. He’s shedding a patch on his back and gets twitchy if anyone touches it.”
