really loved 30,000 miles from chang’an - it was great, both sadder and more romantic than i expected. the way it followed the decades long relationship between gao shi and li bai and their hopes and dreams was beautiful and melancholy also the animation is brilliant

It thus beats its own previous record (also little talked about abroad) held by the 1st "Nezha" film (5 billion yuan).
