On #insiders some mind blowing cognitive dissonance: @tonyburkemp.bsky.social said that while 33 of the 34 Australian citizens (women and kids) in Syria don’t pose a threat to Australia, but whatever, “we don’t want them to come back”. Presumably including kids who didn’t have a choice?

On #abcinsiders “Intergenerational inequity” seems to mean old people are inconveniently living too long, not politely, quietly dying off! All the tax changes in the world aren’t going to kill off the old just for convenience the government.
