S.H. Cooper@pippinacious.bsky.social · 3mo agoReceived final edits for Death in Its Many Forms! My Elle-ditor's notes basically boil down to: I love you, I love your writing, but I swear on me mum if you don't stop using filler words I will put them in a bag, cross the Atlantic, and beat you with them! Sorry, @elleturpitt.bsky.social, ilu 😂
A good editor is like a well fitting bra that lifts, supports, and makes you look and feel goooood. Thanks for being my bra, @elleturpitt.bsky.social 💚
She's not called the Elleditor for nothing! By me. I call her that. Because she edits my books. HIRE HER! #writersky

No new blog post today but I do want to ask - what made you smile today? Because we can always do with more positive things in life!
It's International Plant Appreciation Day! So today's Monday Moods is, suitably...Plants!
Our @divinationhollow.bsky.social Pride in Horror submissions CLOSE at the end of this month! If you want to be part of our annual event, make sure you get those pieces in before 30th April
Remember yesterday I mentioned a coincidence with this week's LTB? It's because I already had this one scheduled to go out - yep, I have some...unpopular opinions about adaptations to share!
Today's Let's Talk Bookish is all about casting in adaptations, which is an interesting coincidence considering the blog post I have coming tomorrow
There is no greater marketing for freelancers than word of mouth, so if you've used an editor, cover artist, website designer, etc and had a good experience, spread the word! The majority of editing work I get is from folks who usually start an email with "you were recommended to me by a friend..."
A new week means a new Monday Moods, and with April's Fool last week, the first one for April is, of course, Humour!
Diving into another list that's been neglected for too long - 100 New Horror Recommendations! Check out the books I've read, want to read, and gems I've never heard of!
