Old Trolleys, particularly those with swerves, feel rather energetic. They dance around even when the rails are straight, and huff impatiently when they have to wait for something. They're very aloof and complain when they're overcrowded. This trolley from Scranton, PA is 100 years old this year.

I think the actual problem is the height. Gordon's diecast is a bit fat, but looks fine because he's not comically tall like Hiro's diecast here. He has the same problem as Thomas, where as a result of wanting to include more accurate detail, they just moved his body up higher.

Now everyone says that Hiro's boiler and smokebox in Metal Collection looks way too big - though when you compare his first CGI render, it is a lot bigger than his real life counterpart - and comparing it w/ Thomas' real basis is stark in contrast w/ comparison.

I do quite like how they handled the decals of Bertie, much more faithful to real British buses. As for his basis however, they should have kept his old one rather than change it to one that's already taken by another character. I fear the potential of 2026 Bulgy.
