✨ hunger of the pine ✨ · Rated E · Historical fantasy AU · Wolf Gojo x samurai Geto · Inspired by okuri-inu folktales Created by @saltisochi.bsky.social, @eluwunia.bsky.social, and dynamissorcerer for the Tale as Old as Time #GoGe Big Bang 📚 #SatoSugu #五夏 🔗 archiveofourown.org/works/883930...

A preview graphic for hunger of the pine by Neyasochi, dynamissorcerer, and eluwunia, styled like a page in a fairytale book. The excerpt reads: "A pair of eyes blink open. Suguru’s breath lodges in his chest like a thorny bur; even the drumming of his heart can’t shake it loose. As if he hasn’t already been seen—as if those ghostly eyes, bright as fireflies, aren’t piercing straight through him—he holds himself stiller than the trees gently rustling in the wind around him. And he waits. But it waits, too. After several long, agonizing minutes, Suguru slowly slides one foot across the moss-covered earth he stands on, hoping to make a gradual, inoffensive retreat. But as he steps backward, those eyes-looming-in-the-dark blink and slink their way forward, too. Suguru halts. Whatever lurks along the path makes no move toward him… until he takes another wary step backward. Rather than spring or charge, it mirrors his steps. When he stops, it pauses. When he moves, it follows. The knot of dread in Suguru’s gut grows heavier as an idea of what might be pursuing him takes shape. Any doubt left in him vanishes when the thing steps out from the shadows and into a pool of wan, silvery moonlight. An okuri-okami." On the opposite side, there is a preview of two digital artworks. One depicts Geto carrying a lantern through the woods at night as a pair of blue eyes glow in the darkness behind him. The other depicts Geto and Gojo laughing together under a wagasa umbrella, dressed in traditional clothing. Gojo has a distinctive pair of fluffy wolfish ears atop his head.
