So I forgot to take my meds this morning bc I was desperate to shower before I saw the nurse...by the time I got home the fibro and the wound were peak throb, and it took all day for meds to get the pain under control 🥲 I have my PIP assessment tomorrow. Watch them tell me I'm not disabled enough.

Lovecraft: It would be tedious as hell to describe our exploration of this weird fortress city we found in the Antarctic. Also Lovecraft: Anyway here's a detailed account of our exploration using variations on the same words for as many pages I damn well feel like. Papa's getting paid by the word 💅

VI.

It would be cumbrous to give a detailed, consecu- tive account of our wanderings inside that cav- ernous, æon-dead honeycomb of primal masonry -that monstrous lair of elder secrets which now echoed for the first time, after uncounted epochs, to the tread of human feet.

I've been babysitting Merl and not around my laptop to do book or website stuff. Decided to take up my old hobby of making random book covers for things that don't exist in Canva. What do we think? Worth putting up on my Ko-Fi as a premade? Feels like a good thriller cover 🤔 #authorsky #writersky

A cover for a non existent thriller called runner. In the centre is a desaturated picture of a person runninf through woodland. There is a slight green tibge to the landscape, with a heavy contrast and darkening outside. Branches creep across the white text that reads RUNNER" in all caps across the middle. A quote from a fake reader says "gotta go fast" at the top. Ems art name is at the bottom in place of an author name

Reading update: I have decided that I finish At the Mountains of Madness this week. You heard. Yah boy needs to shorten their Goodreads “Currently Reading” or it’ll stop me doing the most satisfying bit: updating the page count as I go. #booksky #horror

One of the original covers of Astounding Stories (where At the Mountains was serialised). Two men run through an icy cavern, an enormous creature with many eyes reaching after them with gelatinous looking arms.

I haven’t posted a goal for Queer Welsh Gothicky Thingy … because the midpoint still alludes me. I know where I’m going, but it's a lot of new stuff, and finessing what I’ve already planned. Very happy I’m doing this now, rather than when it’s all written in words I like 🥲 #authorsky #writersky
